Who are we?

Known Ltd is the consultancy practice of Alan Riley.

Alan has long experience of working on change and communication with individuals, teams and work groups in turbulent and demanding environments. He relishes complexity and organisational politics, and understands large and small group dynamics.

He focuses on performance and delivery. This is informed by an understanding of the inner world of organisational life. He has honed his approach from making change and communication work in demanding and often unforgiving work environments.

Alan has worked for Smythe Dorward Lambert, the pioneering internal communication and change management agency, and has been director of corporate communications for the United Biscuits group. He is also an associate of Interbrand, the world’s foremost branding consultancy, and undertakes regular assignments for them round brand engagement.

He has a master’s degree in the psychodynamics of organisations from the Tavistock Clinic, and a first degree in English.
